Criteria for Selection
- Preference is given to: Grade 12 Learner Matriculated applicants waiting for a study opportunity, subject to proof of qualifying results.
- Candidates in their 1st year of study within one of the available fields may also apply.
- First year students who could not enrol for 2nd year due to lack of financial support may apply.
- Resides in the province where the bursary is being offered.
- Is a South African citizen with a valid identity document.
- Is unemployed and between the ages of 18 and -35.
- Combined family income of less than R800 000 per annum.

Mixed-mode delivery with institutional instruction as well as supervised learning in an appropriate workplace or simulated work environment.

Learning Achievement
Theoretical knowledge and workplace experience with set requirements resulting in the achievement of a degree, diploma or certificate issued by an accredited or registered formal institution of learning.

Occupationally directed instructional and work-based learning program that requires a formal contract – formally assessed by an accredited body.

Institutional instruction, together with structured, supervised experiential learning en the workplace.

Theoretical knowledge and workplace learning, resulting in the achievement of a South African Qualification Authority registered qualification, a certificate of other similar occupational or professional qualification issued by an accredited or registered formal institution of learning.
